EVE Online on Steam. I played Eve since december 2. Although it is an incredible hard game to get into, this is one of the most awesome I ever played. Can recommend it to all that like an economy driven space mmo. For RPG gamers, this is not as suitable. There is virtually no storyline other then background lore that does not impact the game at all.
November, wird das Update Quantum Rise zum MMO EVE Online auf die Server gespielt. Auf der offiziellen Webseite gibt es die englischen Informationen zum Patch, die beispielsweise von dem neuen Schiffstyp, dem. The alternative guide to the EVE-Online forums. Quantum Rise - Eve mon not working. The API used by EVEMon and many other tools is typically unavailable for 24 hours after a patch. The Quantum Rise patch reworked the Impel's bonuses to give the two tanking bonuses based upon the Transport Ships skill level. The Impel has a high mass, so the ship is slow to align and long warps can kill the capacitor. EVE Online : Quantum Rise 1.0.2 Patch NotesPosted Nov 27, 2008 by Keith Cross CCP has poisted patch notes for Quantum Rise 1.0.2, the latest patch for EVE Online. Also, Ev. E is not a game for half an hour or even for a few hours. Anything substantial will take hours. Another thing, a friend quit cause he was convinced he could never catch up with a veteran player who spent years in Ev. E already, well, for any other MMO this is probably true, but not so in Ev. E. A veteran player with 8 years of playing, will be able to fly lets say 3. The first patch for EVE Online's week and a half old Quantum Rise expansion is up today with several crash fixes and performance tweaks. Each skill in the game, has max 5 levels, take a ship for example an elite frigate, I myself can fly one of those with every skill, that affects this specific ship, at maximum. As a veteran, I can not improve on that ship, as all skills are maxed out. A new player can learn those skills in about 5 months (guessing now, cause things changed quite a bit since 2. So saying that you can't catch up with a veteran, is not valid. Eve beginners 1. 01. Your Race of choice does not limit your choice of ships/equipment. There are 4 races, Gallente, Caldari, Amarr and Minmatar. Any of those races can buy and learn ship skills of any of the other races and fly those ships as well. Race choice determines only your appearance options, starting ship, the set of skills you start with and the place you start at in the universe. PVP : (your first ship will never be lost, upon awakening after death, a new 'noob frig' will be waiting for you at your station where you awaken.)If your biggest ship is a frigate, use a smaller cheaper frig to pvp with. In case you own a cruiser, pvp in a frig. If you have a battleship, pvp in a cruiser. And so on. Keep the bigger ship to earn back a smaller in case things in pvp go not as planned, AND they will go not as planned ! It is possible to acquire an insurance, however it does not pay out 1. I do not remember the percentages, but it's in the range of 8. Ev. E's universe is divided in security systems, most secure is called Empire, being 1. These security ratings imply that these solar systems are guarded by police and navy. The player who starts shooting in those systems, gets taken out swift by the cops. You can not get away from that impending death due to an action of yours truly. Anywhere else (belts, mission area's) Free PVPLast but not least, 'Nullsec' 0. This makes up the biggest portion of the universe, home to big alliances with 1. Are you bound to 1 ship ? No, you are not, I had as much as 1. Can I play for free ? Eventually, yes. With ingame currency you can buy gametime in the form of a 'PLEX' (Pilot License Extension), these are items that can be bought on the ingame market for the ingame currency (ISK), however it is not cheap. Do not expect to pay 1 month and then never again.- How does leveling up work exactly ? In Eve there are skills, some you have already at start, most of them have to be bought from the market, mostly from NPC corporations, you will see. Each skill has 5 levels, from lvl 0 to lvl 1 for a simple skill takes few minutes, to lvl 2 takes 3. Weeks. BUT, you do not have to be online to train skills, start a skill that takes 2 days, and come back in 2 days to see it done. Currently it is possible to queue skills after the one you are learning. So in fact you are leveling up while not playing.- But then whats the point of playing to better myself ? Well, the personal experience counts alot, you can train a skill called 'Tracking'. You learn that by experience. Tracking : A big World War 2 Battleship with these huge guns, cannot hit a speedboat that is circling the battleship at close range, you will miss, cause the big guns can't turn as fast (Tracking). Same so in Ev. E. Things become different at large distances as you can imagine.- A player in a big ship will kill my small ship in 1 shot. Ehm, not true, see previous point, if you orbit at close range to a bit ship with big guns, it can't even hit you. Cause you cannot take 1 ship already out of the manufacturing when the rest isn't done yet. Same as with Skill training, you do not have to be online to craft, start the process and log out, your goods will be produced. With manufacturing skills you can decrease the amount of resources needed and/or decrease the amount of time it takes to manufacture.- Warehouses/Storage space. In Fantasy MMO's you stick your stuff in storage at place A, travel to a different zone B and open your storage : heeey all there. Not in EVE : Stick your stuff in storage at place A, travel to a different zone B and open your storage : EMPTY ! You stuck it in storage at A, remember ? It is still there, if you want it at B, go get it. I got surprised the other way around, in Aion I stuck my stuff in the warehouse at place A, and traveled to B to store the rest..
